Iran says the latest report by the International Atomic Energy Agency leaves no justification for a third round of UN sanctions.

The country is asking the five permanent members of Security Council plus Germany to adopt a realistic approach.

Iran's Foreign Ministry says its country has cooperated with the UN's nuclear watchdog, and is urging the UN Security Council to stop opposing Tehran's nuclear programmes.

It follows the release of the IAEA's report, which says Iran is being more transparent about its nuclear plans, but still not doing enough to clear up concerns over whether Tehran has military aims.

Mohammad Ali Hosseini, Spokesman of Iranian Foreign Ministry, said, "We advise the 5+1 countries to adopt a logical and realistic approach. Fighting the rights of Iran will bear no fruit. As we have seen before, this is an ineffective policy."

On Thursday France, Britain and Germany introduced to the UN Security Council a draft resolution that calls for further sanctions against Iran over its refusal to suspend its nuclear enrichment activities.

The five permanent members of the UN Security Council, and Germany, will meet on Monday to discuss Iran's nuclear issue.

But Iran is warning of decisive counteraction if the UN Security Council passes the resolution.
