A Tourism Board survey has found visitors' overall satisfaction rate grew to 8.2, on a scale of 10 points, last year from eight points in 2005. Visitors wishing to revisit Hong Kong grew to 90% from 85% in 2005, Secretary for Development Carrie Lam says.
She told the Legislative Council today the survey conducted last year showed Ocean Park, Hong Kong Disneyland and A Symphony of Lights were popular attractions.
Patronage of the Ngong Ping 360 exceeded 600,000 in the first four months this year, while the Wetland Park saw more than 500,000 visitors last year.
Mrs Lam said the board was successful in boosting family and consumption visits, with a 13% growth in Mainland family visitors from 2005 to 2007.
The Government will co-operate with the board and the trade to promote quality tourism, develop the city into a world-class cruise port and work with coastal Mainland cities in promoting cruise tourism.
