Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in the ancient city of Bukhara in central-southern Uzbekistan on Tuesday, starting his state visit to this Central Asian country. This is the last stop of his three-nation visit.
President Xi is also scheduled to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit. It will be held in the the Uzbeki capital Tashkent on 23rd and 24th June.
In Warsaw, President Xi and his Polish counterpart, Andrzej Duda witnessed the signing of a series of agreements in a variety of areas such as finance, civil aviation and technology. On Monday, the two presidents attended the arrival ceremony of a China Railway express freight train, which signaled increasing railway links between the two countries.
Xi also delivered a speech at the Silk Road Forum and the Poland-China Regional Cooperation and Business Fora. He called on China and Poland to build their partnership into a paradigm of cooperation, within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.
