Rainstorms have already wreaked havoc across China, and rescuers have been working around the clock.

In south China's Guangxi, the moment a landslide buried a road construction site was caught on camera. A van and motorbike happened to pass just then, but fortunately the drivers escaped unscathed.

Traffic has now resumed after a temporary shutdown. In east China's Jingde County in Anhui Province, rescuers pulled a man to safety from the river. He was stranded on a boat on the swollen river.

And in Changting in Fujian Province, torrential rains left streets inundated and residents trapped. Firefighters worked overnight to get to people, and broke down barriers to discharge the floodwater.
