Heavy rains are expected to hit southern and eastern parts of China over the next two days.

China's National Meteorological Center has issued a blue alert for rainstorms in those regions, with some areas expecting to see up to one hundred and eighty millimeters of rain within 24 hours.

Thunderstorms and gales are also expected. Meanwhile, a mountain flood warning for West and Central China has been issued, and local authorities have been urged to take precautions against possible floods, landslides and mud-rock flows.
