Shame to the US and Western media especially CNN, BBC and FOX news! You only presented twisted news and aired concocted events with bad intentions on the Tibet issue. As a reader we demand respect and factual news. Don't insult our intelligence by giving us rubbish and false news. You owe us readers an apology! CHRIS

I would like to say thank you very much for having CCTV9. I like looking at CCTV news hour. In the USA we do not received all the news that is going on and like I remember someone saying the news men tends to put the news out on what they see and not what is the truth. I also enjoy all the programs you have on CCTV9, I enjoy looking at different area's in China and other area's you reports on. Agen thank you for everything you are doing on CCTV9 and I am for the game and wish peace to all.

I think you show is great I watch it almost everyday. I wanted to comment about all the talk about boycotting the Olympics. I think this is not a good thing to do. I'm an American and live in China. It's a lot safer in China than in a lot of places in the U.S. and the people are really nice here. Every Country has there own problems even the U.S.. Maybe these people who are causing probelms should clean up problems in their own countires first....

Gordon Brown, the Prime Minister of that once opium-peddling country called Britain, must be deluding himself if he thinks that his boycott of the opening ceremony is going to have the slightest impact on what is to become the most successful Olympic Games in Beijing. The Chinese are not a vindictive people, but if there was ever a time to undertake a policy of actively discriminating against British economic interests in China, it is now. For a start, the Chinese people should boycott British goods. Such an action will no doubt make the world a better place.

The glory and prestige of the Olympic torch and Games had been tarnished by the three axis of evils namely the biased Western media, the anti-China lawmakers and the pro-Tibet clique. They exploited the Tibet issue to sabotage the Olympic Games and China but offended all peace loving people. Peace starts with a smile and not through violent demonstrations, rioting, looting or killing. Sam

It is amazing that a country that is stuck in a quagmire in Iraq from which there is no easy way out, and a credit crisis that threatens to throw thousands of American families on to the streets, the US still has the energy to champion the so-called cause of Tibetan freedom. In Singapore a public official like Nancy Pelosi would be properly reminded that the taxpayers are paying her to solve the problems of the country, not pontificate on foreign matters, of which I'm sure given the shortcomings of her American education, probably knows very little about. China will successfully integrate the Tibetans into mainstream national life. That much I am sure. And what is more - the lives of the Tibetans will be greatly improved. Nothing like the fate of the aborigines in Australia or the native Indians in America. When it comes to decimating indigenous people and their culture, the West remain unsurpassed.

The ulterior motives of the western media and press to incite hatred against China are very clear. The Tibet issue is just an excuse for them and anti-China activists to demean China. Their aim is to create disharmony and instability in China. However the vast majority of the people of the world do not condone such distorted coverage of Tibet riots and the disruptions of the torch run. The Chinese people must show to these people that they are united as one nation and fully support the efforts of their government. This is by focussing their efforts on organising the best Summer Beijing Olympics for the whole world to see. Good Luck.

There are people in this world, both within and outside China, who are envious of China's economic growth and prosperity. They are using all sorts of exc uses and with the aid of biased foreign media and press to protray a bad image of China. What they are doing contradicts their philosophy of human rights, democracy and freedom. The Chinese people had suffered numerous humiliations by the western powers in the past. The government and people of China must not bow to these bullies but must really see who their real friends or foes are. The Chinese people must be united to ensure a strong and stable China. The Chinese people must speak up and send a strong signal to show they will not allow any foreign interference to their internal affairs. On the disruptions to the torch run, I see the actions of pro-Tibet demonstrators and activists who tried to snatch the torch or snuff out the flame by force despicable. Susan

Thank you for making CCTV-9 available in the United States. It is one of the few opportunities to get the "other side of the story" on many issues. U.S. news reports are too biased. U.S. news stations never point out that the United States has not tolerated any of its states trying to leave the union. Why as a country we support separatism abroad and do not tolerate it in our own country is an enigma. Thank you again; I appreciate the opportunity to see news events from a different point of view.
