In the UK, the annual London Book Fair has attracted a huge crowd. In addition to hordes of spectators, the event brings together more than 16 hundred exhibitors from some 50 countries and regions.

Earl's Court in London hosts the 38th annual London Book Fair this year. The three-day event is giving writers and publishers from around the world a chance to discuss how to improve cooperation. As the second largest book fair in Europe, the London event features more than a hundred seminars and forums, with topic ranging from education, digital publishing, and copyright protection. This year the fair is focusing on the Indian book and publishing market. The titles cover an array of topics ranging from the academic, arts, to children's stories.

Twenty seven Chinese publishers and book dealers attended. A special section was set up to display both the old and new from China, including contemporary society and herbal medicine.

During the book fair, the Chinese-Language Teaching Publishing House, a subsidiary of China International Publishing Group, set up its London office.
