DPRK to withdraw from 6-party talks

The Foreign Ministry of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea says the country will withdraw from the six-party nuclear talks, in response to a UN Security Council presidential statement on its rocket launch.

The Ministry also says the DPRK will not fulfill any agreements reached in the nuclear talks.

In a statement, the Ministry says the DPRK will strengthen its nuclear power for "self-defense" purposes and it will begin to restore the nuclear facilities that have been under disablement processes.

Meanwhile, the Russian Foreign Ministry says it regrets Pyongyang's decision.
