Paralympics volunteer: A helping hand to happiness

Beijing's vast number of Olympic volunteers are continuing their work at the Paralympics. About 90 percent remain on duty, and some new members have also joined the group. Take a look at a special new member of volunteers whose efforts to help the disabled goes beyond the Paralympics.

Unlike the Olympics, some new skills are required for the paralympics volunteers. Lessons are given for close contact with disabled people.

Fu Xuezhong, Paralympics volunteer, said, "If you push me forwards down the slope, my body may lean forward and feels empty. But if you draw me backwards, my back could stick to the wheelchair, and makes me feel more stable."

The man in the wheelchair is 51-year-old Fu Xuezhong, a Paralympics volunteer who is disabled. His job is to demonstrate measures to assist those like himself.
