Special Report: Iraq in TransitionHundreds of Iraqis gathered at Saddam Hussain's grave on Wednesday in Ouja, just a few miles south of Tikrit.
Mourners were seen gathering around his grave while others marched outside chanting in protest, and carrying portraits of the former Iraqi leader. 24 hours after his execution, Saddam was buried in his home village of Ouja, 130 kilometers north of Baghdad.
Saddam's execution and the way it was conducted has provoked anger among Sunni Muslims. Peaceful demonstrations have taken place in Sunni areas across the country.
Saddam was captured in an underground hide-out near Ouja on 13th December 2003. Saddam's grave is in the floor of a domed building he had erected for religious festivals.
