The conference on Afghanistan has ended in London, with world leaders backing Afghan President Hamid Karzai's peace plan with Taliban militants. They also agreed to hand over security to Afghans as early as later this year.

Helping Afghanistan emerge as a stable nation, that is not a safe haven for terrorist networks this was the goal of the London conference.

But there are still many questions on how to end the eight-year conflict. Hamid Karzai's answer is reconciliation with Talian fighters.

Hamid Karzai, Afghan President, said, "We must reach out to all our countrymen, especially our disenchanted brothers who are not part of al-Qaida or other terrorist networks."
