We now turn to basketball from the CBA as the Beijing Ducks hosted the Xinjiang Flying Tigers. Stephon Marbury and his teammates were looking to make it three wins in a row, after victory over Fujian and Sichuan. Xinjiang, meanwhile, were on a 7-game win streak.

Beijing's new signing Grant Jerrett made his debut, coming off the bench in the first.

The 23-year-old made the impact with an acrobatic lay-in to help the Ducks grab a 7 point lead.

Second Q, and Jerrett shows off his long-distance prowess nailing one from beyond the arc, as Beijing lead by 4. He finished with 19 points and 11 rebounds in his debut.

The American also made Xinjiang center Zhou Qi work hard on the offensive end. The Houston rockets draft pick gets this shot in the lane, but only managed 11 points in the game.

Stephon Marbury got off to a slow start, managing just 3 points in the opening half -- but had 15 in the third quarter alone, as Beijing started to take charge -- leading by 13.

Marbury went on to score a team-high 26 points and added 7 assists, as the Capital club grab a 20-point advantage

The visitors though would not go away, Darius Adams canning he triple and cutting the deficit to 9, late in the fourth.

The American then drives to the lane, and converts with the athletic finish. He gets the hoop and harm.

The 27-year-old then is able to pick Marbury's pocket and go the other way for the flush.

Adams managed a night-high 36 points for Xinjiang.

But Beijing will seal the victory from outside. With 30 seconds to go, Marbury drives in and connects with Zhu Yanxi who hits from the land beyond. Beijing managed 17-three pointers on the night -- none more precious than that.

Beijing win their third game in row 101-95. And following the game Ducks' coach Min Lulei talked about his new signing Grant Jerrett's debut.

"He did what he should do. I feel he fits in pretty well. But this is only his first game. He needs time to get fit and get accustomed to the league. He worked very hard and was very active defensively. I believe he can make a considerable contribution to the team," said Min Lulei, Beijing Ducks coach.

In other games, Liaoning thrashed Tongxi, Guo Ailun managing 29 points and 8 assists for the Flying Leopards in the win. Guangzhou edged Shenzhen and snapped a 4-game losing streak. Shandong beat Bayi. Guangsha defeated Fujian at home. Hu Jinqiu scored 22-points and hauled in a career-high 17 rebounds for the winners.
