The Guangdong Southern Tigers hosted the Guangsha Lions. This was a big game that saw the two hottest teams in the league put their winning streaks on the line. Guangdong came in on a nine game run while Guangsha were even better with eleven in a row, but only one would streak would survive after Wednesday night.

Sloan then steps up and takes over. The American international drives in and sends Liu Zheng crashing to the floor much to the delight of the home crowd, and Guangdong lead by one.
A minute later Yi finds the wide open Sloan and the 28-year-old hits the triple to give the Southern Tigers a 4-point lead. Guangsha are unable to come back and Guangdong win 106-100 for their 10th in a row.

Also on Wednesday, the Jilin Northeast Tigers hosted the Beijing Ducks in Changchun. Jilin were helped by the three-foreign-players policy which was designed to help the weaker teams in the league. But the star of the first quarter is local lad Cui Jinming who would grab the rebound and get two off the glass. Jilin up by 4.
And three minutes later Cui is at it again as the 24-year-old drives in and gets the lay-up despite tough defence from Fang Shuo. Jilin lead by 11 after the opening Q.

But the Ducks' lead is short-lived as Jabari Brown dials connects from downtown with less than ten seconds to play. Game high 31 for the American.
With 2.6 seconds to go, Beijing down by 1, Zhang has a chance fro a three but misses and Jilin hangs on to win 100-99, thier second victory in a row.
In other action, Xinjiang beat Shanxi by 3 points on the road. American import Darius Adams had 38 points, 8 rebonds and 8 assists for the Flying Tigers. Bayi beat Fujian and Shavlik Randolph nailed 33 points and 14 rebounds to help Liaoning defeat Tianjin.
