According to Yonhap News Agency, South Korea's parliament has approved a bill to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate the corruption scandal involving the country's president Park Geun-hye, and her long-time confidante Choi Soon-cil. The motion was proposed by the opposition's Democratic Party.
