South Korean prosecutors have repeated their position that President Park Geun-hye should be questioned no later than Wednesday.

An official at the prosecution office said an investigation into Park should begin on Wednesday though the exact time is under consultations with the presidential office.

Prosecutors have already questioned two former key presidential aides. Ahn Bong-Geun and Lee Jae-Man served as Park’s key advisors until last month. They are accused of helping Choi Soon-Sil to visit the presidential office. They also allegedly reported state affairs or leaked confidential documents to her.

Two other presidential aides have also been arrested in the snowballing influence-peddling scandal.
