Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has said China is willing to work with the administration of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump to improve relations.
“We are willing to communicate with the Trump administration to better understand each other and expand our cooperation,” Wang said.
“Just as our president, Xi Jinping, expressed in his congratulatory message, China maintains the principle of non-conflict, mutual respect and mutual benefit, and China will seek further progress in bilateral relations. This is a roadmap for our relations and we are ready to work with the U.S. on that.”
