Damian Lillard, the league's third-leading scorer was looking to continue his red-hot shooting. The Portland point guard was averaging more than 32-points a contest, and would improve on that against Dallas, as the Trail Blazers looked to keep the Mavericks winless this year.

Pick things up late in the opening q, and Dallas up three, when Shabazz Napier is able to get the theft, and then he beats the buzzer, from just inside half-court. 26-26 game after one.

Mavs would be able to go back in front in the second, and get the rock to Dirk Nowitzki on the block -- the German gets fouled on the jump shot as the hosts lead by 7, after the free-throw.

Rip City go on a run though and go in front, Damian Lillard blowing by his man and goes off the window, for the hoop and harm. Blazers up 5 after the freebie.

Third q, and Dame Dolla shows off the range -- canning the triple -- the visitors go up 9.

J.J. Barea is able to find the range to keep Dallas in it -- his triple makes it a 7-point game.

In other action, the Lakers upset Golden State, holding MVP Steph Curry to without a 3-pointer, seeing his NBA record for consecutive games with a trey come to an end at 157 games. Derrick Rose had 17 points in his return to Chicago, as the Knicks topped the Bulls. San Antonio dumped Utah. The Clippers topped Memphis. Phoenix kept New Orleans winless thanks to an overtime victory. And DeMar DeRozan went for 34 in Toronto's win over Miami.
