With the fast development of mobile networks, sharing minutes-long videos with friends through mobile phones has become quite popular among young people.

So cctv-dot-com and China Mobile have created a platform for movie lovers to publish their own video works and share the profit.

"I hope the young people would work harder to express their aspirations from their life by making films. They could cooperate with their friends in doing this and hopefully the works would be touching," said Wang Hao, Project Manager of Migu Video Streaming Technology Co., Ltd..

And this year, experienced film makers have joined in the process. They will advise the contestants who make it past the first round, and help them till the end of the production.

"They are young, which is their irreplaceable advantage. I hope we could provide them some experience of years of creation. I think they should learn to find and express the real things in life," said Professor Wang Xiaolie from Zhejiang Univ. Of Media & Communications.

This year's competition runs through November.

So far, in six years, over 300,000 video pieces have been published and the total profit has surpassed 500 million yuan.
