Two Chinese peacekeepers severely injured in clashes in South Sudan have arrived in Beijing for treatment.

The army’s general hospital has established a special medical team to ensure the effective treatment of the soldiers. 

Two other Chinese peacekeepers who suffered less severe wounds have been transferred to a United Nations hospital in Uganda. The bodies of two peacekeepers who were killed in recent violence will be sent back to China soon.

Two peacekeepers were killed and five injured July 10 after a mortar shell hit their armored vehicle during fighting between two factions in the South Sudanese capital, Juba.
