Torrential rains in Asia have put strain on many countries' flood defenses. Water levels in some of southern China's major rivers, including the Yangzte, continue to rise.
Warnings have been issued of a typhoon heading towards the country's eastern coast. Over 30 million people in China have been affected this flood season.
Meanwhile, in northern Pakistan and India, at least 58 people have been killed by floods and landslides triggered by heavy monsoon rains.
