Turkey says it has already released ten percent of the aid it pledged recently to Pakistan after the Pakistan's military operation in the Swat valley.

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu made the statement at a press conference during an official visit to Islamabad.

At the recent donors conference in Tokyo, Turkey pledged 100 million US dollars in aid money to Pakistan.

Davutoglu said that Turkey would donate a further 10 million US dollars to help the estimated three million internally displaced people in Pakistan.

Davutoglu said the Turkish International Development Agency and Red Crescent were fully involved in helping with the refugee crisis.

Turkey and Pakistan have agreed to hold a regional summit on Afghanistan and its neighbours in November to discuss peace and security.
