Fifteen people including two UN workers are confirmed dead in a multiple suicide bombing in Pakistan. Another 70 were wounded Tueday in the attack on a luxury hotel in the country's northwest.

The chaotic scene echoed a bombing last year at Islamabad's Marriott Hotel that killed more than 50 people.

At least three suicide attackers in a pickup truck shot their way past guards and set off the explosion late on Tuesday outside the Peshawar Pearl Continental, a favorite spot for foreigners and well-off Pakistanis.

Jameel Shan, Hotel Employee said "As we finished our prayers, the firing started suddenly and the people who were inside were shouting and saying that terrorists came inside. After that a powerful blast happened."

Officials released CCTV footage of the attack.

Police estimated the truck was carrying more than half a ton of explosives.

Mian Iftikhar Hussain, North West Frontier Province said "First they targeted the security and made them paralyzed, after that the vehicle entered the hotel. The attack was very well cognized."

No group claimed responsibility for the blast.

The blast came a week after Taliban leaders warned they would carry out major attacks in large cities in retaliation for the army's offensive in Swat Valley.
