Taiwan's disease control authorities reported three new confirmed A/H1-N1 influenza cases on Monday, bringing the total on the island to nine.

The seventh patient is a 40-year-old woman living in Taiwan. She had flu symptoms after having dinner with Taiwan's fourth patient, a 30-year-old woman who returned from Manila on May the 20th. This is the first person to person transmission reported on the island.

The other two new patients were both Taiwanese students who came back from San Francisco on EVA Airways flight BR007. Both developed flu symptoms upon their arrival on Sunday morning, but passed the airport's fever screening. Their infection with A/H1N1 was confirmed that evening.
