Special Report: World tackles A/H1N1 flu |
The A/H1N1 flu outbreak has many worried about a possible pandemic. Health Ministers and experts from around the world are meeting in Geneva, Switzerland to discuss how to fight the virus with vaccines and drugs.
This year's World Health assembly will run through May the 22nd, ending five days earlier than originally planned. This is because ministers are busy handling flu situations in their own countries.
The UN agency is closely monitoring the spread of the virus, particularly in Spain, Britain and more recently in Japan, where infections have jumped dramatically.
WHO Director-General, Margaret Chan, stressed the urgency of flu prevention.
