The restoration of the Hall of Supreme Harmony at China's Palace Museum has just been completed. The newly rebuilt Hall opens to the public Wednesday.

The restoration was the largest undertaken at the Hall of Supreme Harmony in over three hundred years. It took nearly two years to complete. Exterior murals of the Hall were repainted to repair weathering of the original paint. The Hall's main structure was partially rebuilt and reinforced.

A porcelain exhibition is ready to open at the Hall of Supreme Harmony. It will feature more than four hundred pieces of porcelain art, drawn from the Palace Museum's abundant collection.
There's another exhibition - of Chinese painting and calligraphy at a different part of the Palace Museum. Visitors can see some of the rare paintings of masters. There's "Night Revels" by Han Xizai, and there are works by Gu Hongzhong who lived during the Song Dynasty, about a thousand years ago.
