China targets 8% GDP growth in 2009

China has set the target for 8 percent GDP growth rate, as the country faces the most difficult year for economic development. This requires doing everything to stimulate employment. Premier Wen Jiabao has just announced the economic policies and other tasks for the government at the opening of the annual National People's Congress session.
