The Iraqi death toll continues to climb following a series of deadly attacks in Baghdad that have killed at least 103 people.

The bomb attacks come amidst a UN announcement that more than 34,000 civilians were killed in Iraq last year Full Story >>. The UN figure is nearly three times that earlier reported by the Iraqi government.

On Tuesday, two separate bombs and a suicide bomber killed 65 people and wounded more than a hundred near a university in eastern Baghdad. Many students were caught up in the explosions while waiting at the entrance to al-Mustansiriya University.

Meanwhile, gunmen traveling in a mini-van and on two motorcycles fired on shoppers at a market in eastern Baghdad, killing 15 people and injuring 20.

At around midday, twin blasts near a Sunni mosque in central Baghdad killed 15 people and injured 70 others.

Two hours later, a bomb-rigged minibus went off in Sadr City in eastern Baghdad, killing four people and wounding 10 others.
