Red Shirts vow to prolong protests

Thailand's anti-government group announced late Wednesday, a mass protest rally planned for April 3rd will be prolonged to April 6th if Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva doesn't change the time frame to dissolve the Lower House of Parliament.

The mass rally comes after the second round of talks between Red Shirts and the government failed on Monday because the two sides couldn't agree on a time frame to dissolve the Lower House.

The demonstrators insist the House be dissolved by the Premier within 15 days, as the only solution to the country's political conflict. But the Prime Minister wants to dissolve the Lower House by year-end.

The Thai cabinet decided to extend domestic security acts implemented in Bangkok, and neighboring cities, until the 6th of April.
