South Korean investigators have privately questioned Choi Soon-sil, a friend of Park Geun-hye and former presidential aides An Chong-bum and Jeong Ho-seong.

Members of a special parliamentary committee said Choi apologized for causing confusion in the country, but denied to comment specifically on most of the allegations against her. These included forcing conglomerates to donate US$ 64.4 million to the Mir and K-Sports Foundations, which Choi controlled.
