Hundreds have gathered in the South Korean capital of Seoul, just a few blocks away from the Blue House, to protest against President Park Geun-hye.
Saturday's protest appeared festive, as it fell on Christmas Eve. About two hundred people dressed up as Santa Claus, and were seen to be giving out gifts to fellow demonstrators.
This is the ninth consecutive weekend of protests, calling for the permanent removal of the impeached president.
The rally comes after a special prosecutor summoned Park's confidante, Choi soon-sil, for further questioning over an alleged influence peddling scandal.
