A new documentary called "The Power of Nature" is set to be broadcast on CCTV's documentary channel. The crew travelled deep into no man's land in China to capture never-before seen footage on television. The beauty of China can really be seen, throughout the documentary.

Magnificent mountains and rivers....wild animals such as Tibetan antelope, snow leopards, and wild yak...These are the stars of the 6-episode documentary series "The Power of Nature."

The crew travelled hundreds of thousands of kilometers over 5 years to record the life of animals and plants, and the unique ecological diversity of China.

"China's four no man's lands, the South China Sea... many of these places were shot for the first time, and many animals also appeared in front of a lens for the first time," said Li Wenju, director.

"It was a tough journey, we were even chased by wild yak and bears. Fortunately we survived and finished our project."

To overcome obstacles of nature, during the 500-days of shooting, the crew made a number of ingenious tools.

"When we were on the plateau, we couldn't get up to the shooting spot in a small plane, so we used a large mobile device--a two-dimensional flying system that we put together to carry the camera. When we were shooting at a lake, the divers could not go because the water was too shallow. So we made a mini-submarine," said Wang Lu, cameraman.

The series will be aired on CCTV's Documentary channel starting from December 31st.
