Full coverage: 95 years of glory

"The Power of Faith" -- a documentary which looks back on the history of the Chinese Communist party -- has recently been aired on Guangdong Satellite Television, China Education Channel and Xinhua News Agency's website. And it's created quite a buzz among viewers. Now the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the CPC has held a seminar to discuss it's success.

"The Power of Faith" -- a documentary which looks back on the history of the Chinese Communist party -- has recently been aired on Guangdong Satellite Television, China Education Channel and Xinhua News Agency's website.

"The Power of Faith" is a 40-episode documentary on the history of the Communist Party of China.

It looks at how the party was founded in 1921, how it gradually grew stronger and more bigger, until it became the official ruling entity. But the narrative also involves the stories of many individuals, which highlights their loyalty to the party and country.

Experts who attended the seminar believe it was these stories which made the documentary so powerful and popular...

"This documentary celebrates the 95th anniversary of the establishment of the Communist Party of China. It shows us many touching stories of the communists, how they helped the people and sacrificed themselves," said Zhao Jie, Vice CEO of China New Film Group.

"The Power of Faith" was first aired on Guangdong Satelite Television and the China Education Channel on June 20th. It was later broadcast online via the Xinhua News Agency's website and people.com.cn from July 1st.
