The United Nations Security Council has agreed on a draft resolution aimed at ensuring that UN officials can monitor evacuations from Aleppo.

Diplomats said the organization will vote on Monday after several hours of negotiations.
The council had been scheduled to vote on Sunday on a French draft, but Russia circulated a rival text, raising concerns about sending in UN officials who are unprepared to monitor the protection of civilians.
French UN Ambassador Francois Delattre said the compromise text was based on the French draft.
