The United Nations Security Council is to vote Sunday on a resolution to allow UN officials monitor the Aleppo evacuation.

The French-drafted resolution also emphasizes that the evacuation of civilians must be voluntary and to final destinations of their choice.

The draft asks UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon to deploy humanitarian staff to watch and report on the process. It also demands all parties provide monitors with safe, immediate and unimpeded access.
