Parliament will vote on Friday on whether to impeach President Park Geun-hye. The impeachment motion is the only way to remove the president. If it fails, Park Guen-hye's position will be safe. But lawmakers believe they have enough support in parliament to pass the bill, including 40 from Park's ruling party.

If it passes, the motion still needs to be approved by the Constitutional Court which consists of nine judges, and then impeachment proceedings can take place. But the Constitutional Court can take as long as 180 days to decide, within which Park's tenure will end.
