Full coverage: Xi Visits Ecuador, Peru and Chile, Attends APEC Summit
Chinese President Xi Jinping and his Peruvian counterpart Pedro Pablo Kuczynski have agreed to strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership between their two countries. The two leaders met in the Peruvian capital Lima.

Xi said he hopes his visit will deepen the traditional friendship between the two countries and promote better dialogue. He said they should focus more on the industrial sector to make it a major area in their partnership, and also work together in areas like culture, education, sports, science and technology.
Kuczynski said Lima looks forward to a better relationship with Beijing. He said Peru is willing to expand its free trade agreement with China, and welcomed Chinese investments.
The two presidents also witnessed a signing ceremony of cooperation documents.
Peru is the second stop of Xi’s three-nation Latin American tour.
