The scandal has hit South Korean President Park Geun-hye's approval ratings, according to local pollster Real Meter.
Daily support for Park fell from an already dismal 13.4 percent on Monday to 10.2 percent on Wednesday. It is based on a poll of more than 1,500 adults. Most shocking was Park's approval rating among those in their 20s -- just 1.6 percent.
Park's political home turf of South Gyeongsang province recorded 8.6 percent supporting Park, lower than the nationwide average.
Amid the sagging support, demand is growing stronger that President Park be investigated by prosecutors over her involvement in the Choi Soon-sil scandal.
