The Democratic People's Republic of Korea has condemned its neighbor, South Korea over the ongoing political scandal gripping the country, claiming the international community is "completely astonished". 

"Promises of 'economic cooperation' and 'assistance' mean swindlers like this in South Korea can't be reliable, and it is risky and shameful for anyone to hope in South Korea," said Jon Min Dok, director of Institute for Disarmament and Peace DPRK's Foreign Ministry.

"The Park Geun Hye group doesn't have its own political direction and thinking, nor the ability to take full responsibility for the consequences of its actions, so anyone who deals with it will be blamed together with South Korea for causing the deterioration of the peace and security of the Korean Peninsula."
