US, ROK want tighter sanctions on Pyongyang

The US and South Korea are pushing for tighter sanctions against the Democratic People's Republic of Korea over its ongoing nuclear program. During a meeting in Seoul, the US deputy secretary of state Tony Blinken renewed Washington's commitment to protect its allies. But he also objected to some hawkish demands from South Korean politicians who want to acquire nuclear arms.
