China, Japan and S. Korea discuss trade

The commerce ministers of China, Japan and South Korea have met in Tokyo for their latest talks on a trilateral free trade agreement.

The three ministers said free trade was important at time of rising protectionism around the world. They pledged to implement agreements made during the Hangzhou G20 summit and accelerate negotiations toward a three-way free trade agreement. They also discussed China's proposal for a Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership.
