Celebrities raise awareness of women in developing countries

The Celebrity Pro-Am was more than just a fun tournament as it also saw the debut of the 'Buy a Lady a Drink' program that seeks to raise public awareness and contribute to the improvement of the living conditions of women in developing countries who spend a combined 200 million hours collecting clean water for their families every day.

This was the first time the program had been introduced in China and was widely recognized by the organizers, participating celebrities, and golfers. A carrousel erected at the venue by the campaign's sponsors Stella Artois, provided a chance for the celebrities to leave their signature and mark on a glass to express their concern for the difficulty of women in developing countries who struggle daily just to get drinking water. It's hoped that the Buy a Lady a Drink campaign will spread to more countries and allow those aforementioned women some more time to spend with their families.
