In Hainan, where it was a star-studded night in the provincial capital of Haikou, as big names in sports and entertainment gathered ahead of the Mission Hills World Celebrity Pro-Am.

The golf tournament will be held on Saturday and Sunday, and CCTV reporter hit the red carpet to mingle with the stars before the weekend fun.

While winter my be approaching Beijing nothing could be further away in Hainan. Its tropical climate makes for some perfect golfing conditions, and while most of these stars who have made the long trip to south China have never played professionally, the opportunity to tee off with a mix of movie stars and sporting royalty is too much to turn down.
