Biman Bangladesh Airlines and South African Airways are among the latest to announce a ban on the troubled Samsung Note 7.
This move comes following a string of similar announcements made by a number of airlines worldwide.
Samsung earlier recalled and halted the production of its flagship smartphone due to reports of some units catching fire. The most recent incident happened this week in Japan, where a foreign passenger's Galaxy Note 7 emitted smoke at Kansai International Airport.
Meanwhile, Apple's iPhone 7 officially went on sale in South Korea on Friday. According to mobile stores and carriers, pre-orders were sold out in record time, filling the void left by the South Korean tech giant.
