The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea has criticised the U.S. for calling its latest nuclear test “provocative and reckless.”
 
Pyongyang says the U.S. has manipulated the issue of human rights in an effort to overthrow the DPRK government, and has promised to fight back against international sanctions.
 
Earlier, on the sidelines of the U.N. General Assembly, Japan and South Korea joined with Washington in condemning the DPRK’s nuclear program and in support of further sanctions.
