Democratic People’s Republic of Korea’s state-run television station KRT has aired a video of a mass rally celebrating the country’s recent nuclear test.
On Friday, Pyongyang set off its most powerful nuclear blast to date, saying it had mastered the ability to mount a warhead on a ballistic missile. KRT showed thousands of citizens and soldiers along with high-ranking government officials attending the rally and chanting in Pyongyang’s Kim Il Sung square.
State leader Kim Jong Un was not seen in the video and KRT did not specify the date of celebration. During the rally, a senior government official hailed the country’s successful nuclear test.
