Situation in the DPRK's capital, Pyongyang, has remained calm and normal after the country's announcement of a successful fifth nuclear test.
The test coincided with the 68th anniversary of the founding of the country, or its National Day. Citizens wearing national dresses took to the streets to celebrate the holiday.
Before authorities confirmed the test, many people gathered at a public square near Pyongyang's railway station to watch documentaries and films. Some locals said they didn't know their country had conducted a nuclear test.
