In the opening address at the 2016 G20 Summit, Chinese president Xi Jinping said that the G20 should support industrialization in Africa to reduce global inequality.

“We will also support industrialization in Africa and the least developed countries, increase access to energy, promote financial inclusion and encourage young people to start their own businesses,” Xi said.
“Through these means and other ways, we can reduce the inequality and imbalance in global development and deliver the benefits of global growth to people of all countries.”
