Chinese President Xi Jinping has held talks with his South Korean counterpart Park Geun-hye on the sidelines of G20 summit.

Xi urged for bilateral ties to be set on the right track towards stable development. He also told Park that China opposes the deployment of the THAAD anti-missile system in South Korea.

Xi said mishandling the issue is not conducive to strategic stability in the region and could intensify disputes. He added that China is willing to work with South Korea to strengthen what he described as “hard-won ties.”
