Saudi Arabia's Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman will discuss the kingdom's drive to cut its reliance on oil exports in visits to China and Japan that is to start next week.
In April, Prince Mohammed launched radical economic reforms designed to develop non-oil industries in the country and attract billions of dollars in foreign investment. Banks and companies from China and Japan are expected to play major roles.
Prince Mohammed will focus on economic and security issues during his stay in China. He also will chair Saudi Arabia's delegation at the upcoming G20 summit in Hangzhou.
