Saudi Arabia's foreign minister has hailed the release of 28 pages originating from an official report concerning the September 11th terrorist attacks in the United States.
Adel al-Jubeir told a news conference in Washington that "The matter is now finished." The 28 pages are from a 2002 investigation that outlined potential links amid Saudi Arabia and the 2001 aircraft attacks that killed nearly three thousand people.
The remaining pages were finally released to the public by the US House of Representatives Intelligence Committee. This was after years of wrangling in Washington between Congress and different administrations, both Republicans and Democrats, and at the request of the families of those deceased.
